The Holiday Apartment “Il Fiore dei Sassi” is located in Matera, European Capital of Culture 2019, in Vico Santo Stefano 94. The finely furnished structure is a couple of minutes (on foot) from one of the main entrances to the “Sassi di Matera ”(UNESCO World Heritage) and 5 minutes (on foot) from the city center. The apartment, recently renovated, has 6 beds distributed in 3 rooms. From the master bedroom it is possible to access a magnificent terrace with a breathtaking panorama overlooking the Gravina, a spectacular canyon crossed by the homonymous stream. The house has a total area of ​​about 80 square meters + 13 square meters of terrace. Near the hotel there are numerous shops (supermarket, dairy, tobacco, bakery, bar, restaurant, pizzeria) and there are many free parking spaces.

Super comfortable apartment with an incredible view over the Sassi. It is an easy walk to the Sassi and town center. We had a nice dinner at Casello 45, about a 10 minute walk from the apartmentabd in the town center. Next door to the restaurant, you can get a liter of decent wine for 4 Euro. The apartment has a great terrace, a bedroom with a double bed, a room with a single bed (between the bedroom and living room) and two single beds in the living room. All were very comfortable. The modern bathroom was huge. The hosts were amazing and so helpful. Great apartment!

The staff was so nice and made sure that we have everything needed! Don’t get fooled by the immediate surrounding, after a few minutes walk you arrive to the old city with a gorgeous view. The pictures of the flat are accurate, very cute place with a balcony and a fantastic view. Highly recommand.
